“ I recommend this place without reservation. Go in and ask can you have a taste of their food, before you buy & Len behind the counter will give you a disposable spoon with a piece of any of the foods in the Servery. A try before you buy service. Now that's worth popping in for. This is a very clean place with an industrial interior that is in vogue everywhere right now. The food is lush. There are many different menus and prices available. Most interestingly the Chef is right there on his oven top flicking the food around a wok with great dexterity. It's an event rather than a wait for your food to be served. One thing I noticed was Len, the lady behind the counter, used to be front of house, at Borneo Bistro on Hylton road. That place had a fantastic name around the city. It is such a shame that it isn't reopening. That said Len is up front in this new place. And the food presentation will look familiar to those who frequented Borneo Bistro. The food I had was just great. Spicy with some heat but not too spicy or hot. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Chef nods and smiles as he tosses food in his wok. It's fair to say that So Wok had a great reputation around the doors and is busy all the time. Don't miss out you can get a fantastic meal for one for £6.95 ”

“ Food is delicious. They do the best noodle boxes in Sunderland. Delivery time is terrible though. Asked for delivery at 830pm as my wife finished work at 8. First delivery attempted at 720pm. Told the driver i ordered for 830 and he agreed. Then they tried to deliver again at 758! Noooo! Nice food but please take note of delivery time. ”
